Danger, Danger!

Walk… or don’t

Walking keeps the blood moving
Moving blood keeps you moving

You don’t move
It don’t move:

It don’t move:
You don’t move!

Stopped blood clots!
Then things rots!

Think about the implications!

Love is
A heart attack
Some people
Never get over.

Only God could

In the Quiet of the Night

San Francisco… On The Bay

It's spooky on a surreally foggy night or early morning

When the misty tendrils of fog hug the lamp posts and

Wetly kiss your cheek in passing.

Such unexpectedly cool passion

Is serendipitously transient,

Reminiscent of the fog

Creeping in on cats paws.

The other day

One Misty Morning

As I peered sleepily out the window this morning

Something told me: Take warning, take warning!

Awesome tendrils of morning mist

Thick enough to punch with a fist

Were swirling around my car…

It was impossible to see very far!

And as I went back to bed I muttered this tome.

I’m so glad it’s Saturday and I can stay home!

My Day!

It All Adds Up

Ever have one of those days?

Like they struck out Willie Mays?

5:30 AM: I found a dead sump pump

So, took it out and sent it to the dump

Then, on my way down town

My car window got stuck down

What a pain!

It’s gonna rain!

Ain’t it just my luck?

But I finally got it up!

I wound up bein’ only 4 minutes late

But it’s OK: I forgot to check the date.

And I’m off today

Hooray, hooray!

Love

Love

How

Effective

Are quality assurance tools?

Level of care increases such

That patient wellbeing

Has improved, short term

Long term improvement relies on personal involvement

I borrowed this, but he doesn't mind:

Instructions for life:

Dalai Lama’s thoughts for 2007

Are still stand out thoughts for 2008

  1. Take into account that great love and great achievements involve great risk.
  2. When you lose, don’t lose the lesson
  3. Follow the three R’s
    1. Respect for self
    2. Respect for others
    3. Responsibility for all your actions
  4. Remember that not getting what you want is sometimes a wonderful stroke of luck.
  5. Learn the rules so you know how to break them properly
  6. Don’t let a little dispute injure a great relationship
  7. When you realize you’ve made a mistake, take immediate steps to correct it.
  8. Spend some time alone each day
  9. Open your arms to change, but don’t let go of your values
  10. Remember that silence is sometimes the best answer.
  11. Live a good honorable life. Then when you get older and think back, you’ll be able to enjoy it a second time.
  12. A loving atmosphere in your home is the foundation for your life.
  13. In disagreements with loved ones, deal only with the current situation. Don’t bring up the past.
  14. Share your knowledge. It is the way to achieve immortality.
  15. Be gentle with the earth.
  16. Once a year, go someplace you’ve never been before.
  17. Remember that the best relationship is one in which your love for each other exceeds your need for each other.
  18. Judge your success by what you had to give up to get it.
  19. Approach love and cooking with reckless abandon.

Thoughts that are should be implemented and shared by all of us.

snow

Blinding Snow Driving*

Swirling feathers of white

Blotting out the night

Snow flakes reflecting blinding light

Softly obscuring my inquiring sight

So I turn off the driving brights

And use only my parking lights

To illuminate the ground below

The pervasively blowing snow.

Honeymoon in an early January snow storm

The New Year

The New Year

Ah, the New Year

It’s finally here

It’s as clean and fresh as new snow

Ours to decide how to come and go

Past decisions are there to learn from

Not to do so would be really dumb

The future is yours to call

Simon sez good luck to all
